Will books record the county clerk's copy of original wills which were probated in the county court. The wills are used to dispose of the testator's property and estate. Will books may include date of will, names of testator and beneficiaries, value of estate, description of property, amount willed to each heir, date probated, attestation of county court, and date recorded.
